barber shop at union square.

--- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - --- - ---

we came across this barber shop on our way home from dinner tonight.
somewhere between union square south and the west village.

a 20 or so minute walk in the cool drizzle.

actually, it took
a second glance

even to realize that the decorated windows belonged to a barber shop at all!

it looked like a furniture store, or possible antique shop at first.
but after stopping, we realized that between the santa clauses
and hanging snowflakes,
there were old twirling chairs.

and the red, white and blue sign.

twirling swirling.

the best part: a brightly lit town in the display.

just one of the many things that make me love
the holiday season.
